In the first half of the financial year 2007/2008, Private Equity
Holding AG reports a comprehensive net gain of EUR 29 million. The
fair value per share increased from EUR 45.66 to EUR 52.99.
On October 4, 2007, Private Equity Holding AG published the
preliminary fair value per share as of September 30, 2007 of EUR
52.93 (CHF 87.91). After the closing of the accounts, the final fair
value per share as of September 30, 2007 stands now at EUR 52.99 (CHF
88.00).
Private Equity Holding AG's strategic goals are consistent net asset
value growth and a further reduction of the discount between the fair
value per share and the share price. Over the last 12 months, the
fair value per share grew by 45%. The share price increased from CHF
33.00 to CHF 66.50 (102%), and the discount decreased from 46% to
24%. The Board of Directors and the manager of Private Equity Holding
AG, ALPHA Associates, are confident that consistent net asset value
growth will result in a further and sustainable reduction of the
discount.
