Munich 2007-11-21: Almec S.p.A., located in Nusco, Italy and since
August 2007 a portfolio company belonging to BAVARIA Industriekapital
AG, sells its aluminium manufacturer Rifometal S.p.A. to the
Bruni-Group.
Almec S.p.A. is a producer of aluminum die cast components, such as
clutch and gear housings for the motor cycle and automobile
industries. Almec supplies leading manufacturers such as Ford,
Getrag, Fiat and Piaggio. Directly after the BAVARIA acquisition,
Almec was given a new operating leadership and the company was
strategically re-positioned. The successful sale of Rifometal now
allows Almec to continue its technology developments and fully focus
on its continued international growth.
Managing Director Hans Magnus Andresen explains; "The quality
improvement initiative we started at Almec is already giving us good
returns. The company is now excellently positioned for future
growth. We thus continue to see big potentials for this company.
After the concluded Rifometal transaction, Almec can now devote its
entire resources to the strategy of becoming a leader die cast
supplier to the international automotive industry. Rifometal will
continue to be a major raw material supplier to Almec."
The group with its headquarter in Munich acquires companies with a
strong market position and the potential to increase profits. BAVARIA
AG had sales revenue of EUR 333 million in fiscal year 2006 with an
EBITDA of EUR 51 million and is listed in the Entry Standard at
Frankfurt Stock Exchange (ISIN DE0002605557).
