The company's main operational bases are in Toronto, Canada, and Atlanta and Portland (Oregon), USA. The transaction strengthens Pöyry's position as the leading forest industry management consultant in the world, employing more than 300 experts globally. Founded in 1993, Perforex is a company focusing on sustainable operations improvement and excellence in wood products and forestry operations. The company's business approach is based on specific operational metrics supported by data collection and proprietary analytical systems. Perforex has a strong reputation and counts amongst its clients leading wood products and forest operations across North America. The company's net sales in 2006 amounted to EUR 4.5 million and it employs 35 experts. Following the transaction, Pöyry offers an expanded scope of asset appraisal and operations improvement services to its clientele.
