Ad hoc: PVA TePla AG: PVA TePla AG plans further rise in turnover and earnings for 2008
(Asslar, 28.11.07) - At its meeting held today, the Supervisory Board
of PVA TePla AG, Asslar, approved the Executive Board's plans for
2008. In line with planning, a further turnover increase of 40% as
against 2007 is anticipated for next year. The Company will also
again increase its profitability: the forecast for the EBIT margin
has been raised to 7-9%.
As can be seen from the current incoming orders, the growth of PVA
TePla will continue to be primarily generated by the Crystal Growing
Systems division. Demand for high-quality systems for the
photovoltaics market and the semiconductor industry is still at a
high level. Incoming orders in the Vacuum Systems division also
developed extremely well in 2007 and as a result this division will
make a significant contribution to the Group's growth. A high share
of the planned sales by both divisions has already been assured by
the current order backlog. Following the implementation of sales
measures and the launch of new products in Plasma Systems, the
division is expected to increase its business volume and make a
positive contribution to earnings.
In the first quarter of 2008, sales will be significantly lower than
in the subsequent quarters in line with planning. The reasons for
this are the Company's relocation to Wettenberg and the start-up of
production there as well as the fact that the Crystal Growing Systems
division will not begin generating sales from its new ersol Wafers
and SiTech orders until the second quarter of 2008.
We are also assuming further growth in business volumes and rising
earnings in subsequent years.
