For the second season in a row, the New York Metropolitan Opera, one
of the world's most prestigious opera houses, will be collaborating
with a number of cinemas worldwide to present 8 of its productions in
HD and live. For this season, the number of participating cinemas has
tripled to 600, including the Belgian Kinepolis complexes at Ostend,
Gent, Brussels and Antwerp. The first of eight productions, Gounod's
'Roméo et Juliette' directed by the Fleming Guy Joosten, is scheduled
for 15 December.
