Tele2 acquires BBNed from Telecom Italia

Stockholm - Tele2 AB, (Tele2), (NASDAQ OMX Stockholm: TEL2 A and TEL2 B) today announced that it will acquire the Dutch operator BBNed from Telecom Italia. Tele2 will pay in cash approximately SEK 475 million on a cash and debt free basis. Completion is expected following approval from Competition authorities in the Netherlands. BBNed is a provider of fixed telephony and broadband telecommunication services in the Netherlands, active in retail, business and wholesale segment. BBNed operates on the business market with its brand BBeyond and on the consumer market with its brands Alice and InterNLnet.
