Statoil Fuel & Retail appoints SVP Real Estate Asset Management

28 February 2011 - Statoil Fuel & Retail ASA ("Statoil Fuel & Retail", Ticker: SFR) appoints Sonja Horn, as Senior Vice President Real Estate Asset Management.  Horn joins Statoil Fuel & Retail on 7 March 2011 from her position as partner in Union Norsk Næringsmegling AS, a Norwegian real estate brokerage. Horn will report to Klaus-Anders Nysteen, CFO Statoil Fuel & Retail ASA. "Statoil Fuel & Retail has a long history of developing a network of excellent locations representing a strategic value for the company. We will now use the opportunity to optimise our real estate assets from a financial perspective," says Klaus-Anders Nysteen. "Sonja's long background from financing commercial real estate from Fokus Bank as well as her experience from Union Gruppen is perfect for us." In this new position, Horn will responsible for the commercial development of Statoil Fuel & Retail's property assets. To define and implement the optimal real estate asset management strategy including its financial implications is a key focal point. Prior to her position as Partner & Co-owner of Union, Horn worked in Fokus Bank as Director of Fokus Kreditt AS from 2000-2004 and Head of Large Accounts from 2004-2008. She has also experience as Finance Consultant and Senior Account Manager in DNB NOR from 1996-2000. She holds a B.Sc. Economics from BI Norwegian School of Management.
