Kitron: Positive development in Employee Satisfaction
"Employees are the company's most important asset", this is a statement in many
industries, sometimes without much seriousness behind. To the Kitron group,
being a global player in a business environment where competence and dedication
among employees is a key success factor, it is a true statement. There is a
clear connection between employee satisfaction and performance, related to both
customer satisfaction and the achievement of sound financial results.
Kitron group focuses on ensuring that the organization, its employees and
competence develops in line with the growth of the business. The global foot
print Kitron has today requires a conscious approach on these issues. As part of
the Kitron group measures towards operational excellence, customer and employee
satisfaction are two important areas. This is measured with various intervals
with the aim to maintain a focus on continuous improvements.
The group has since 2008 performed an annual Employee Survey where efforts of
improvement related to competence, management and organization, information flow
and other important areas are measured. The survey shows a very positive
development over the years, and the overall response rates have gone from 70% in
2008 up to 82% in 2012. The credibility in such a survey increases in line with
higher response rates.
"Overall satisfaction rates in the survey show a clear improvement, and have
over these years gone from an average of 66% up to 75%. The figure itself is of
course not proof of success, but seen in the light of worldwide financial
turmoil and the internal operational changes we are satisfied with the
improvements", says HR Director, Bengt Enbom (see attached picture)
The Kitron group's measuring of employee satisfaction is based on the belief
that satisfied, motivated and recognized employees are more efficient leading to
high performance both individually and as a company. Kitron will continue the
efforts to improve the operations meeting the demands of the market today and in
the future.
