ALMA CAREER OY NOW OPERATIONAL WITH KEY MANAGEMENT APPOINTED
Alma Media Corporation and Monster Worldwide Inc. announced the strengthening of
their joint operations across Eastern Europe and the Baltics in November 2013.
The arrangement has now been finalised and closed and the joint operating
company Alma Career Oy has started its operations with the new structure and key
management appointments. Alma Career Oy now manages recruitment services in 9
In expanding their joint offering, Monster's career services are now combined
with Alma Media's similar services to create a comprehensive offering in Poland,
Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Finland, Estonia, Latvia and
Lithuania. The companies are managed under a joint holding company named Alma
Career Oy and will be reported as part of Alma Media's Digital Consumer Services
segment. As part of the arrangement Monster Worldwide Inc. became a 15% minority
owner of Alma Career Oy (formerly Monster Oy).
The following appointments have been made in Alma Career Oy: Marja PylkkÃ¤nen
will continue as Managing Director of the now widened operations. Mika Kiiskinen
has been appointed as Country Manager of Monster Finland. In Monster Poland
Bartosz Struzik, in Monster Hungary Szabolcs Buda and in Monster Czech Republic
Petr Kubacka will continue as Country Managers. Mikko Vuorio has been appointed
as International Sales Director.
The Country Managers and Mikko Vuorio report to MD Marja PylkkÃ¤nen, who in turn
reports to Raimo MÃ¤kilÃ¤, the Head of Alma Media Marketplaces business unit.
