Veidekke ASA : Veidekke to build Vardeheia parking facility in Grimstad
Today Veidekke Entreprenør has entered into a contract with Grimstad
municipality to build a rock cavern parking facility in Grimstad municipality.
This will be a turnkey contract valued at NOK 105 million, excluding VAT.
The parking facility will be located in the centre of Grimstad and will have
305 spaces. Veidekke Entreprenør will build two parallel rock caverns with
parking over two storeys, an access tunnel with ramps and pedestrian tunnels.
The turnkey contract includes options for a total of three such pedestrian
tunnels from the facility and to the centre of Grimstad.
Planning work has already started, while construction starts in the middle of
February and will be completed for the summer holiday in 2015.
