Mikko Wirén elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pihlajalinna Plc, Aarne Aktan begins as CEO
Pihlajalinna Plc's Board of Directors has elected, from among its members, Mikko Wirén as Chairman. As the company has previously announced, Wirén resigns from his position as the CEO and begins his term as the Chairman of the Board today, 8 August 2016.
The Board of Directors also elected Leena Niemistö as Deputy Chairman and revised the composition of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. The Committee consists of Mikko Wirén (Chairman), Timo Everi and Jari Sundström. The composition of the Audit Committee remains unchanged, consisting of Seija Turunen (Chairman), Jari Eklund and Leena Niemistö.
Aarne Aktan begins as the CEO of Pihlajalinna Group and steps down from the Board of Directors today. Aktan has worked as Executive Vice President of Pihlajalinna's Private Clinics and Specialised Care segment since 29 April 2016 and as member of the Board of Directors since 2014.
