August 2017 traffic figures

In August 2017, Paris Aéroport welcomed 9.8 million passengers, an increase of 3.8% compared with August 2016. 6.8 million passengers travelled through Paris-Charles de Gaulle (+5.0%) and 3.0 million through Paris-Orly (+1.0%).

In July and August 2017, traffic at the Paris airports totaled 19.9 million passengers versus 19.1 million over the same period last year, establishing a new record for this period of the year. It should be noted that Paris-Charles de Gaulle recorded a historic day on 30th July 2017 with 236,772 passengers welcomed.

  • International traffic (excluding Europe) was up (+7.2%), due to growth in the following destinations: the Middle East (+12.8%), the French Overseas Territories (+9.7%), Africa (+8.7%), North America (+7.6%) and Latin America (+1.8%). Only Asia-Pacific was down slightly (-0.1%);  
  • European traffic (excluding France) was up by 1.1%;
  • Traffic within France was up by +1.8%;
  • The number of connecting passengers increased by 1.1%. The connecting rate stood at 23.1%, down by 1.1 points compared with August 2016.

Since the beginning of the year, Paris Aéroport passenger traffic has increased by 4.7%, with a total of 68.4 million passengers. The number of connecting passengers has risen by 0.8%. The connecting rate stands at 22.6%, down by 0.9 point.

Passenger traffic at TAV Airports, 46.1%-owned by Groupe ADP, increased by 13.8% in August 2017 and has risen by 6.7% (1)  since the beginning of the year.

Passenger traffic at Santiago de Chile Airport, 45%-owned by Groupe ADP, increased by 12.1% in August 2017 and has risen by 10.3% since the beginning of the year.

Taking into account Milas Bodrum International terminal traffic on a like-for-like basis for 2016, total TAV Airports passenger traffic would have increased by 4.4% over the last 12 months.
  2. Groupe ADP and TAV Airports have,a shareholding of 21% and 15%, respectively, in Zagreb Airport. To be compliant with TAV Airports presentations, Zagreb Airport traffic figures are integrated into the TAV Airports group traffic figures.
