Imtech: order 26 milion euro to build production plant for Siltronic

Gouda / Hamburg, 20 April 2007 - European technical services provider Imtech is to realize the expansion of crystal pulling furnaces for silicon crystals for Siltronic AG in Freiberg/Sachsen at a cost of approximately 26 million euro. The order will be carried out by Imtech Deutschland (Imtech Germany), who possesses a strong position on the German technology market. Imtech is general contractor for the expansion of the production plant for Siltronic AG in Freiberg/Sachsen and responsible for delivery of the complete production plant including corresponding technological infrastructure. The production plant, including all start-up operations, tests, qualifications and inspections, will effectively be completed during the first quarter of 2008. Siltronic is one of the world leaders in the production of wafers of purest silicon and the partner of many leading chip manufacturers. The expansion of the crystal pulling furnaces will contribute towards further extending Siltronic's technological lead in the globally fast-expanding 300 mm wafer market.
