Steven Braekeveldt appointed CEO of Fortis Insurance International Europe

Fortis Insurance has appointed Steven Braekeveldt (47) as CEO of Fortis Insurance International Europe, with effect from 1 December 2007. Steven will be in charge of the European insurance operations of Fortis outside Belgium and the Netherlands. He will report to Peer van Harten, CEO of Fortis Insurance. Steven succeeds Jacob Westerlaken, who has accepted a position outside Fortis. Before joining Fortis Insurance in 2006, Steven worked for ING, with banking and insurance responsibilities in Hong Kong, Singapore and Mexico.
