Euromoney has for the fourth year in a row awarded Nordea the prize
for Best Private Banking in Finland. The bank received this award
primarily for its comprehensive offering and competence within asset
management.
- To receive this award four years in a row serves as evidence of our
strong competence in private banking. Our performance has been
excellent, supported by the expertise of the group as a whole, says
Riitta Pyhälä, Head of Private Banking Finland.
- This year, too, strong efforts will be made to achieve consistent
growth and high service quality by increasing the number of senior
investment managers and further improving the competence of the
employees. Highly skilled employees are of utmost importance for us
to continue to provide our clients with the best private banking
service in Finland, adds Riitta Pyhälä.
Nordea has in recent years prioritised private banking activities and
this has produced results. The bank now has nearly 26,000 private
banking clients in Finland with approximately 17 billion euros in
assets under management.
- The private banking sector is growing steadily all over Europe, but
Nordea has been able to expand its operations faster than its
competitors. Today people are busy and do not necessarily have the
possibility to manage their assets actively. In addition, transfers
of assets from one generation to another, acquisitions and ownership
arrangements have increased the demand for private banking services
in Finland, says Riitta Pyhälä.
Euromoney is one of the world's most esteemed banking and financial
periodicals. Its readership comprises some 140,000 decision-making
professionals within trade and industry all over the world.
