PÖYRY AWARDED CONSULTANCY ASSIGNMENTS IN NIGERIAN WATER PROJECTS
Pöyry has been awarded consultancy assignments for three water
projects in Nigeria, West Africa, financed by the World Bank. The
total value of the assignments is about EUR 3 million.
Pöyry has been engaged for construction supervision in the
rehabilitation and extension project of the water supply in Abeokuta.
The National Urban Water Sector Reform Project 2004-2010 aims at
improving the living standards of the citizens by increasing access
to piped water networks in selected urban areas and improving
reliability and financial viability of selected urban water
utilities. The services are to be carried out between January 2008
and June 2009.
Pöyry has been assigned to provide technical assistance to the State
Water Boards in Ogun State and Kaduna State. The assignments comprise
technical assistance services related to system upgrading and
improvement of the day-to-day operation of the water supply schemes
of Abeokuta and Kaduna. Commencing in January 2008 the duration of
the assignments is 12 months.
