Tieto supplies infrastructure services for Local Insurance and Tapiola

15 mei 2012 Tieto Corporation          PRESS RELEASE         15 May 2012 at 10.30 am EET Tieto, Finnish Federation of the Local Insurance Group and Tapiola have signed a five-year agreement concerning the infrastructure services connected with the solutions for the information technology environment of Local Insurance and Tapiola. The value of the agreement is approximately EUR 35 million and it covers server management and office services, as well as the related network and data protection services. The agreement includes, for example, support for the mobile environment, communication solutions, as well as service desk functions. In connection with the arrangements, 34 employees of Local Insurance and Tapiola will transfer to Tieto Finland. The transfer project will start immediately. Tieto will take charge of Local Insurance's and Tapiola's current services as of 1 June 2012, and Tieto will become the information technology infra service provider of the Local Insurance- Tapiola Group, which will launch its operations in 2013. The new services are developed in phases and they will be in use by 1 April 2013.
