Cermaq ASA : Mainstream Canada has detected IHNv in one site
Mainstream Canada has today issued a press release about the detection of IHNv
(Infectious Haematopoietic Necrosis) in the site Dixon Bay on the west coast of
Vancouver Island.
The virus was detected by the company's fish health monitoring program, enabling
effective action. Canadian authorities have been notified and further actions,
including decisions on depopulation, will follow normal routines.
There are approx. 500,000 fish in the site where the virus has been detected,
with an avarage weight of about 1 kg.
