Several new appointments to Senior Management Committee at ARCADIS

ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the world's leading natural and built asset design and consultancy firm, announced several new management appointments today. These new appointments are aligned with the new 2014-2016 strategy ARCADIS announced on December 4, 2013. The appointments serve to strengthen the Senior Management Committee of ARCADIS in support of its sustainable growth | performance | collaboration strategy implementation. Tim Neal, currently the head of the UK business of ARCADIS, has been appointed Global Director Buildings for ARCADIS as per January 1(st), 2014. He brings to the role extensive experience in the buildings business, of which many years as a partner within EC Harris. Tim Neal holds an MBA from the Open Business School and has completed a degree in Building Studies at Oxford Brookes University. In his new role, Tim Neal succeeds Matt Bennion who was appointed to fulfill the new role of Corporate Development Director for ARCADIS in Asia. Alan Brookes, the current head of the Asian business of EC Harris has been appointed to succeed Tim Neal in the position of head of the UK business of ARCADIS. Alan Brookes has been with EC Harris since 2000 and has been a senior partner, holding several management positions since that time. He holds a degree in Buildings Surveying from Liverpool Polytechnic. John Williams the regional leader of ARCADIS in the Middle East also joins the Senior Management Committee. In his more than 25 year career at EC Harris, John Williams has led their European infrastructure business including major programs for clients, such as the £4.3 billion Terminal 5 project at Heathrow for BAA (British Airports Authority). He holds a degree in Quantity Surveying from the University of Reading. Manoel Antonio Amarante Avelino da Silva, currently CEO for ARACDIS Logos in Brazil and member of the Senior Management Committee, takes on the additional responsibility as CEO for ARCADIS in Latin America. With this appointment all the regions of ARCADIS are now represented at the most senior level under the Executive Board. John Batten, currently Executive Vice President and Director of Strategic Client Development for ARCADIS in the US, was appointed to the new position of Global Director Big Urban Clients (BUC), an important new strategic initiative of ARCADIS. Through the BUC, ARCADIS assists major metropolitan areas in improving their competitiveness and the quality of life for their inhabitants. John Batten brings to the role extensive international experience, developed in several Strategy, Marketing and Communications roles within ARCADIS. He holds a master's degree in Public Health from New York Medical College and a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from the American University. Roland van Dijk, currently Global Director Mergers & Acquisitions will take on responsibility for Corporate Strategy and joins the Senior Management Committee as Global Director Corporate Development. Roland van Dijk completed his Master of Business Administration degree at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France and holds a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering. Gerard Spans, Chief Information Officer will also be appointed to the Senior Management Committee. Performance and Collaboration are key elements of the new strategy, directed at bringing the best of ARCADIS to clients, continuous improvement and being recognized as being the best. These efforts will be supported through transfer of best practices, implementation of our business blueprint and enabled through IT. He holds a master's degree in Information Technology from the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences. Philip Youell, CEO EC Harris and member of the Senior Management Committee will take on the additional responsibility of Global Director Marketing & Communications.
